npower renewables carried out public consultation before the planning application was submitted. This was to ensure local people were both informed about the proposal, and given an opportunity to have questions answered and ideas or suggestions addressed. As part of this consultation public exhibitions were held on the following dates:

• Tuesday 17th August 2004 from 12:00pm to 5:00pm
  Lochgilphead Community Centre
• Wednesday 18th August 2004 from 2:00pm to 8:00pm
  Lochgilphead Community Centre

Follow up exhibitions were also held to offer an opportunity to show members of the public changes and developments that took place following the initial exhibitions. These follow up exhibitions were originally due to be held during February 2005 but were postponed till March 2005 following the sad and sudden death of the landowner and were held on the following dates as a result:

• Tuesday 22nd March 2005 from 1:30am to 8:30pm
  Lochgilphead Community Centre
• Wednesday 23rd March 2005 from 10:00am to 4:00pm
  Lochgilphead Community Centre

In addition to the exhibitions local residents were kept informed through regular mailings and media interview. Copies of the brochures that were sent out to local residents can be downloaded by clicking on the icons to the right.
