Bears Down Wind Farm is Cornwall's most powerful wind farm with a generating capacity of 9.6 megawatts. It was developed by npower renewables (at the time National Wind Power) through a joint venture with Fred Olsen Ltd.

The project was completed in July 2001 and in 2004, npower renewables bought Fred Olsen's share of the project.
