As a part of the development process npower renewables held a public consultation process which took the form of a public meeting and exhibition.

These meetings were held for residents living within the immediate vicinity of the development. An initial meeting was held at the BASC Centre in Trochry, on the 27th of October 2004, with a follow up meeting being held prior to submission of the application at The Birnam Institute in Dunkeld, on 14th of July 2005.

Both meetings were well attended and the feedback gained was particularly positive, with a high level of support from the local community.
