Situated near the town of Corwen in North Wales the Cynwyd hydroelectric power station is capable of producing 135 kilowatts of clean power from its single Pelton turbine.

Cynwyd is the smallest site in our portfolio and has been operational since 1997.

The project was converted from a Welsh Water site so the dam, pipeline and turbine house were already in place. It utilises a small reservoir fed from a very large catchment area.
