Ffynnon Oer Wind Farm Project
Ffynnon Oer wind farm comprises 16 wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 32 megawatts (MW).
The wind farm will generate enough electricity every year to supply the average needs of around 17,000 homes - that's equivalent to almost one-third of households in the Neath Port Talbot local authority area!
A planning application and accompanying Environmental Statement were submitted to Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council in November 2002, who then granted consent for the project in May 2003, following a positive recommendation by the Planning Officer.
