npower renewables is one of the UK's leading renewable energy companies, dedicated to generating electricity using sustainable, environmentally-friendly resources. Our operating portfolio includes both onshore and offshore wind farms, and hydroelectric power plant, and we are currently working on a joint project to develop our first wave power scheme in the Scottish isles. Utilising these natural resources provides significant sources of power for the UK's present and future electricity needs.
Through our existing projects and those in development, we work in close partnership with communities and companies around the UK.
As Government policy drives towards a target of supplying 10% of electricity from renewables by 2010, and 15% by 2015, we will be at the forefront of realising these aims.

energy activities, RWE Innogy. npower renewables is the UK subsidiary of this new renewables business.

National Wind Power and its sister hydro and co-firing businesses combine under one new identity, npower renewables, to form a leading integrated UK renewable energy business.
1991
National Wind Power was formed as a wholly owned subsidiary of National Power plc.
