npower renewables, in partnership with its sister company npower, is investing in marine renewables through the npower juice fund. juice is npower's domestic green, renewable electricity tariff offered to customers at no extra cost compared to their 'standard' electricity.

npower contributes £10 every year to the juice fund for each customer that stays with juice throughout the year; this money is used to support emerging renewable technologies such as those looking to harness our marine energy. The juice fund has already supported a number of projects, including one being run by Regen South West gathering data on the wave climate off the coast of Cornwall. The project involved deploying 'WaveBuoy', an intelligent buoy that measures the wave resource in the area and will help the 'WaveHub' project become a reality.
