npower renewables has delivered a range of community benefits in association with its operating wind farms. These measures benefit those communities living closest to each wind farm, and have to date included energy efficiency measures, schools education programmes, local event sponsorships, equipment for schools, youth groups and sports clubs, and repair works to village halls and other community buildings.
At Tow Law Wind Farm, npower renewables has pledged to make an annual
donation of £2,300 from the revenue of the wind farm to the local community.
This donation will increase in line with inflation each year and is available
for use by local good causes.
A £300 donation was made to support the Punch and Judy Show at the
Tow Law Community Festival 2001. Further donations have been made to the Tow Law
Millennium Primary School towards playground equipment and the Tow Law Under
16's football team to buy their new training tops.
If you have a project that you would like sponsorship for that will benefit
the community of Tow Law, please contact us with the details.
