    Trysglwyn Wind Farm

The wind farm is located on farm land 2km east of Rhosybol village, Anglesey at an altitude of about 80m above sea level. It covers an area of about 100 hectares although only 1% of this is used by the access tracks and foundations. The pasture is predominately perennial ryegrass and wild white clover with numerous flowers. Several plantations consisting of various tree species including Sitka Spruce, Corsican and Lodge Pole Pine, Alder, Sycamore, Gean, Ash, Oak and Hazel have been planted on the farm. High wind speeds prevent them from growing into saleable timber but they are an important habitat for the local wildlife.

Care was taken in planning the wind farm to minimise its effect on the local environment and the construction routes have been reinstated as part of a detailed restoration programme. Farming continues
right up to the base of the turbines.
